I absolutely love freezing a moment in time through photography – but what I also offer alongside this is the ability to bring your day back to life with a Highlights Film.
My films beautifully capture the best moments of your day, using short clips creatively edited together to bring your story to life in a shareable way.
By offering a hybrid of photography & video I can work in a discreet and relaxed way – designed for couples who don’t necessarily want a full feature film or separate videography team.

What Is Hybrid Wedding Photography & Film?
Imagine being able to look back at your wedding day through beautiful photographs, but also through little snippets of movement that bring those memories to life all over again.
That’s hybrid wedding photography and film.
Rather than having a separate photographer and videographer working alongside one another, I capture both photography and film myself, seamlessly switching between the two throughout your wedding day.
Alongside your photographs, I’ll capture short film clips, often just a few seconds at a time. A fleeting glance, your partner laughing, confetti falling, a hug from someone you love, the atmosphere during cocktail hour or everyone letting loose on the dance floor.
Individually, these moments might seem small, but when they’re carefully woven together, they tell the bigger story of your day.
I’ll edit these clips into a beautifully considered highlight film, bringing together the movement, atmosphere and emotion that make your wedding uniquely yours.
My approach is still rooted in natural, documentary-style wedding photography. I’m not asking you to repeat moments for the camera or turning your day into a film production. I’m there to capture things as they unfold, keeping everything relaxed and unobtrusive.
It’s about giving you two different ways to remember your wedding: photographs to look back through for years to come, and film that lets you revisit the feeling of being there.

The Benefits of Hybrid Wedding Photography & Film
One person – Two ways to remember your day.
With hybrid photo and film, you have one person capturing both your photographs and your moving memories. There’s no separate photography and videography team working around each other, and the whole experience feels consistent from start to finish.
My documentary-led approach means I’m not constantly directing you or asking you to perform for the camera. I move naturally between photography and film, capturing little moments without taking you away from the people and experiences that matter most.
You can spend more of your day being present, rather than feeling like you’re on a photoshoot.
Photographs are wonderful at freezing a moment in time, but film brings another dimension. There’s movement, the atmosphere of a room, the way someone laughs, the excitement of the dance floor and all those fleeting interactions that make your wedding yours.
Your highlight film brings these little moments together, allowing you to revisit the feeling of your wedding day in a different way.
Because I’m capturing both, your photographs and highlight film share the same natural, relaxed approach. They’re two complementary parts of one story, rather than two separate interpretations of your day.

Is Hybrid Wedding Photo & Film the Same as Traditional Wedding Videography?
Not quite, and it’s important to understand the difference.
Traditional wedding videography typically involves a dedicated videographer, often with additional equipment and sometimes a second shooter, capturing extended footage throughout the day. Depending on the package, this might include your ceremony from beginning to end, full speeches, longer-form films and extensive coverage of events as they happen.
My hybrid approach is different.
I’m your photographer first and foremost, capturing your wedding through natural, documentary-style photography while also recording short film clips throughout the day. These clips are then carefully edited together into a highlight film that tells the story of your wedding.
It’s not continuous video coverage, and it’s not intended to replace a traditional wedding videographer if a full-length feature film is what you’re looking for.
Instead, it’s for couples who love the idea of having both photographs and film, and who value a relaxed, unobtrusive approach over a full video production.
You’ll have your photographs to revisit all the little details and moments, alongside a highlight film that brings the movement, atmosphere and emotion of the day back to life.
I do provide full recordings of your speeches as standalone videos. However, if you’d also like your full ceremony recorded or a longer cinematic wedding film, a dedicated videographer may be the better choice. I’m always happy to help you decide which option is right for you.
