I shot my first wedding back in 2011 … 13 years later I’ve captured over 350 amazing days … so you’re in safe hands … I love the fact that no two weddings are ever the same & that I continue to be surprised and amazed at the creativity and ideas that couples come up with for their days. But the one thing which remains constant through all those Weddings is the amount of love, joy, happiness and positivity I have the honour of capturing.
My main aim is to deliver a set of images which tells the story of your day and transports you back to how you felt in that moment … for the majority of the day my style is reportage / documentary. Throw in some creative twists for epic portraits and a small dash of traditional portraits to capture those few essential family shots and I think that just about sums up my style! Past couples would describe my images as natural, relaxed, fun and creative.
In a nutshell there is no limit to the number of images I take on a Wedding day … I eagerly snap away ensuring that as many moments, glances, tears and laughs are captured … nor is there a cap on the actual number of edited images I will deliver to you. The timings, location, size & weather will all have an impact on the end number and so it’s hard to place an exact figure on this question – but you should expect a minimum of 500 edited images for a full days coverage. I guess the main point to stress is that nothing is held back – no hidden agenda to up sell images after you big day – what you see is what you get (I’m from Yorkshire after all!)
Your big day has been and gone … the cakes been eaten, the flowers have died … I totally get that it can be a bit deflating in the days and weeks after your wedding (obviously you have an amazing marriage with the person you love to look forward to for the rest of your lives right?!) but all the months of planning & excitement have gone … that is why I love to try and keep that excitement going with the reveal of your images. I always offer to upload some sneak previews on social media in the days immediately after your wedding – obviously this is optional but most couples love the fact that they can have some professional images ready straight away to admire & reminisce over. Your full set of images will be carefully curated & edited in my signature style – every single images gets edited and so this does take time. My usual delivery time is 4 to 6 weeks.
Yes! All of the images I deliver have been edited by myself to adjust for lighting, colour, cropping & exposure as well as applying my signature style – ensuring you receive a consistent & coherent set of beautiful images.

No problems at all – I appreciate that choosing your photographer is a huge decision! I offer mid week daytime or evening appointments – or I am always available on Skype or a phone call to chat further.
Yes – I can offer shorter or longer coverage dependant on dates & availability. Please note I’m not always able to offer shorter packages on prime dates – but absolutely always open up the channels of communication and ask the question!
Absolutely! As a full time professional wedding photographer I am fully insured with both professional & public indemnity.
I shoot using professional Canon camera and a series of lens’s … I always have a back up camera … extra batteries and lots of spare memory cards! Each of my cameras houses 2 memory card slots so that your images are being doubly backed up from the word go!
Absolutely – if you are feeling a little nervous about being in front of the lens or want to get a bit more of a feel for how I will work with you on the wedding day then I have pre wedding shoots as an optional add on. I usually do these around 6 weeks before the wedding – and always mid week because my weekend diary is just so choca block!
I usually prefer to work alone – I just find that this suits my style & documentary approach well … however, I get that there are some weddings where size, locations & logistics deem it advisable to have a second pair of hands. I offer the option to add a second shooter onto any of my packages – I work in a fantastic network of other professional photographers who I can call upon. They would shoot on the day and hand me the files so that you are guaranteed a consistency in the delivery & edit of the images.
Short answer – anywhere! I live in West Yorkshire so for any weddings within an hour and half drive of my home all travel expenses are included in the price. For weddings further afield I may need to factor in mileage or accommodation but get in touch and we can chat that through.
To secure a date I take a 20% booking fee which can be paid via bacs. My whole booking process is paperless and online. Due to the volume of enquiries I receive – no date is secure until the deposit is paid and the contract signed.
Absolutely! Again I work in a great network so can highly recommend videographers whose work, style and approach is complimentary to my own.
Whilst I haven’t missed any weddings yet in my time shooting weddings … I am only human and you can never rule out the unexpected happening. I work in a fantastic network of professional, experienced photographers who I know and trust. In the event I was unable to attend your wedding I would commission someone else to attend on my behalf – they would be fully briefed and up to speed on your day. They would shoot the day & I would edit the files – ensuring a set of images consistent with what you have seen & booked me for.
I hope that helps to answer all your questions – remember – no question is silly – feel free to pick up the phone or email to ask anything else!
