There’s something incredibly special about weddings that are not just about two people, but about the beautiful bond of a whole family coming together. Abbie and Liam’s wedding at the stunning Coniston Hotel was just that – a heartfelt, relaxed celebration filled with love, laughter, and the sweetest moments with their two gorgeous girls.
From the very beginning, the day had a wonderful, easygoing vibe. Abbie looked absolutely radiant in her dress – effortlessly elegant and glowing with joy. Liam looked just as sharp, and the connection between them was truly a joy to witness and capture. Their daughters were central to the day, making everything feel deeply personal and genuinely moving – it was a real family affair, and such a privilege to photograph.
I always love shooting weddings at The Coniston Hotel. Nestled in the Yorkshire Dales, this venue offers the perfect mix of luxury and natural beauty. The expansive grounds, rolling hills, and serene lake provide endless backdrops for beautiful portraits. It’s no surprise that it’s a favourite for couples looking for a relaxed yet stunning setting to say their “I do’s.”
One of my favourite parts of the day was heading down to the lake with Abbie and Liam for their bridal portraits. We were lucky enough to enjoy a little time with the rowing boat, and it made for the most romantic and peaceful interlude – just the two of them, surrounded by the stillness of the water and the soft summer light. Those moments are always so precious – a little pocket of calm before heading back to the party.
A Day to Remember
Throughout the day, there was so much genuine laughter and connection – from emotional vows to carefree dancing in the evening. The atmosphere was one of pure happiness, and it really was a pleasure to capture those candid, heartfelt moments that tell the full story of a wedding day.
Abbie and Liam’s celebration wasn’t just about becoming husband and wife – it was about solidifying a beautiful family unit, and that love and togetherness shone through in every detail.
